Foreclosure Intervention

Arizona is experiencing increasing numbers of foreclosures every month. Homeowners do have Options to Mitigate Their Loss, and may benefit from the advice of experts on possible solutions. Community Services of Arizona provides such free services to any homeowner in Arizona who both owns and resides in the affected home.

If you are interested in receiving free foreclosure intervention services, please review the packet of documents below by clicking on the links provided. (The documents can be viewed using the free Adobe Reader, which can be downloaded from the link on the left side of this page.) The first document to read is an Introductory Letter that briefly explains the services. That letter explains that we will need to have you print and complete six, short forms: Intake Form, Household Budget, Hardship Letter, Authorization NFMC, Third-Party Authorization, and Privacy Policy and PracticeCompleted forms should either be attached to an email addressed to homeownership@csainc.org, or be mailed to the address at the bottom of this page.

First-Time Homebuyer Program

Our First Time Homebuyer Program offers affordable home-ownership opportunities to low and moderate-income families living in Arizona. We provide financial assistance to working families who, as first-time homebuyers, can qualify for mortgages but lack the resources required for down-payment, closing costs, and/or minor repairs.

Counseling and Education. One key to long-term success for program participants is preparing themselves for the responsibility of owning a home. Our home ownership assistance program includes counseling and practical maintenance training as well as follow-up counseling after the purchase.

Down Payment/Closing Cost Funds. Assisting with homeownershipFor many working families, the difference between renting an apartment and owning a home is securing the necessary funds to cover down payment and closing cost requirements. For families who qualify, CSA can help overcome these obstacles to homeownership. Our trained counselors also ensure that first-time buyers do not fall victim to predatory lending practices.

If you are interested in receiving any of our First-Time Homebuyer Services, please read Introduction to the Homeownership Program that briefly explains our agency's services.

Those households that want to apply for Down Payment Assistance will need to read and complete the following forms: Application Cover Letter, Program Application, Application Expense Worksheet, Employment Verification, Declaration 214, HUD Authorization and Privacy Policy and PracticeCompleted forms should either be attached to an email addressed to homeownership@csainc.org, or be mailed to the address at the bottom of this page.

Single Family Home Preservation

As homes age, the need for rehabilitation and restoration arises. CSA is dedicated to maintaining the quality and livability of existing single family homes, so that they may continue to be safe and secure residential dwellings.
